MLO 6: Information Technology Literacy
The student demonstrates an ability to use technology in support of his or her scholarly work, including gathering, organizing and analyzing sources and employing appropriate delivery techniques in both written and oral formats.
I completed MLO 6: information and technology literacy through Spanish 300 and WLC 400, which helped me satisfy the requirements for a B.A. in Spanish. The courses I completed have successfully helped me fulfill the requirements set by MLO 6 because each course integrated the use of technological materials in order to complete required assignments. For example, the courses guided us through the importance of information literacy a skill which was necessary to retrieve database information that helped establish and build many of our written assignments. Information literacy has been significantly important in WLC 400 because it has taught us how to consulate the web in order to create an extensive research paper such as our final capstone. It has been important to have the ability to use technological support because it has been constantly necessary in order to research, write up assignments, build presentations, and successfully communicate with peers and professors. I believe that I satisfied this MLO by taking both in class courses as well as an online course.
